Standard Style Boutique opened on October 16, 2003, after the owners Matt & Emily Baldwin relocated back to their roots from California; bringing a west coast vibe to the Midwest. After months of intense work, research, and design by its owners, Standard Style Boutique opened at Town Center Plaza in Leawood , Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City ). Standard was birthed out of a passion for fashion, arts and people. Standard aims at making everyone who walks in the door feel welcome and important. Standard wants everyone to have a fun experience in the boutique by offering an energetic ambience including, great music, customer service and an option of personal shopping. Standard also hosts its mascot, Bentley, a golden retriever who has a flare for fashion and especially people.
